VISAKHAPATNAM: The State Housing department minister Sri Ranganatha Raju said that the YSRCP government is aimed to provide pakka houses with all amenities to the poor people.
Minister on his 3-day visit to North Andhra districts, visited the housing colonies which are under construction. On the final day, Saturday, the minister visited the layouts in Chodavaram and Yelamanchili constituencies in the Visakhapatnam district.
Speaking to media persons at Chodavaram, minister Sriranganatha Raju said that the government has decided to construct 32 lakh houses in two phases in the state,
In the first phase, the construction of 15.60 lakh houses would be completed soon. Nearly 17,000 Jagananna colonies are coming with all infrastructure facilities, he said. The minister further said that the government is spending nearly Rs. Two lakh rupees on each house to create infrastructure facilities such as electricity, water, roads, underground drainage, and others.
Apart from that, there would be a primary health center, school, rythu bharosa kendras, Anganwadi kendras and others will be set up. “ The YSRCP government aims to provide better living conditions for the poor people. Around Rs. Four lakh crore rupees assets will be created through this housing,” the minister said.
He laid the foundation stone of mega housing at BEd college layout at Chodavaram and appealed to the beneficiaries to complete the construction at the earliest.
Anakapalli MP Dr Satyavathi, Housing Corporation Chairman D Dorababu, Chodavaram MLA Karanam Dharmasri, joint collector Kalpana, Housing PD Srinivas, Navaratnalu Vice-Chairman Narayanamurthy, and others participated.
