​The VMRDA held the first round of the e-lottery for the layouts in Adduuru (Anakapalli) and Garividi (Vizianagaram), in which 25 plots and 3 plots were allocated, respectively.

Interested applicants can register through LDA’s official website, registration.ldalucknow.in. The scheme consists of eight khands—Akash, Alekh, Ashish, Abhash, Alok, Adarsh, Aditya, and Amod.

These vacant 411-sq ft houses, accompanied with a community centre, park, and temple, have in fact started to crumble. Over these years, govt after govt passed, but the facility, which could have been utilised by the homeless, continues to lie unused.

​​​The residents alleged that the officials failed to comply with both the lieutenant governor’s directive and Delhi High Court’s ruling, which declared the building unsafe for habitation and mandated DDA to provide immediate rental compensation.
