CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) will start a fresh round of e-auction of its residential and commercial properties from Wednesday.

On offer will be 40 residential freehold properties and 88 commercial leasehold properties. The bid submission will start from June 14. The last date is July 5. The bids will be opened the same day. The CHB has added eight residential properties to its last auction held in May.

Among the residential properties include two-bedroom, economically weaker section (EWS) units and category IV properties in Indira Colony, Manimajra.

The costliest residential properties are 2-bedroom houses in Sector 51A with reserve prices ranging from Rs 92.78 lakh to Rs 1.07 crore.

In the latest auction on May 31, out of the 35 residential properties only two could be sold. In an April auction, out of the 38 residential freehold properties, four were sold.

In March, the CHB could get bidders for only eight residential properties out of the 44 that were offered. In February, 49 residential properties were offered, but only seven could be sold.
