Tamil Nadu housing board fixes prices of HIG flats
TRICHY: Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) has fixed the price slab for high-income group (HIG) flats developed at Varaganeri near Trichy-Chennai National Highway here.
The flats constructed under the self-finance scheme will be sold to the general public at Rs 75 lakh to Rs 78 lakh per unit. Further, the TNHB has proposed to develop separate high-rise towers in the same location for the middle-income group (MIG) and low-income group (LIG) .
Officials said applications can be submitted from December 28 at the office of the executive engineer, TNHB on Rajaram Road in KK Nagar. Applications will be received till March 31, 2024, or till all flats are allotted. As many as 55 flats in the 14-floor tower are available for sale under four categories based on the floor area ranging from 1,518 square feet to 1,572 square feet, the project is the first high-rise residential tower developed by the TNHB in Trichy city.
The cost of each flat varies from Rs 75.6 lakh to Rs 78.4 lakh. TNHB said the applicant should be a native of the state and must have a minimum income of Rs 70,001 per month. TNHB has also reserved flats under 10 categories including SC, ST, state government, central government, and defence employees.
The allotment will be made on a first come first serve basis. “The applicant must pay 5% of the flat’s cost as a deposit during the submission of the application. Selected applicants are permitted to pay the remaining cost within 30 days of the receipt of the allotment order.,” an official with TNHB said.
