HYDERABAD: Chief secretary Somesh Kumar said ready-to-occupy flats in Rajiv Swagruha township at Bandlaguda will be put up for sale very soon on a first-cum first-served basis. Special preference will be given to government employees and employees of public sector undertakings, and bank tie-ups will also be arranged, he said.
He directed housing department officials to provide all facilities at Rajiv Swagruha flats township at Bandlaguda. He instructed the officials to clean the entire premises and mark the parking areas immediately that all the flats have designated parking lots available. The chief secretary said all the model flats should be ready within a week.
Somesh Kumar visited Bandlaguda and Pocharam and inspected the flats built by the Rajiv Swagruha Corporation, which the government wants to put up for sale again soon. He went around the housing complexes to have a first-hand knowledge of the condition prevailing there and later interacted with the residents, who had earlier purchased these flats and occupied. Kumar enquired about the problems being faced by the residents and held a meeting with senior officials who had accompanied with him.
Later, he visited Sadbhavana colony at Pocharam and inspected the flats. He instructed the officials to formulate an action plan so as to expedite the sale of all the ready to occupy flats. With most of the flats having water and electric connections, it was felt that the flats can be put up sale at the earliest. Special chief secretaries Sunil Sharma and Arvind Kumar, GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Medchal collector Harish and other officials were present on the occasion.
