UD minister directs Hyderabad civic body to speed up 2-BHK house distribution

HYDERABAD: Minister for municipal administration and urban development KT Rama Rao on Monday directed Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to speed up distribution of 2BHKhouses to the poor.

At a review meeting held at Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited office in Nanakramguda on Monday, KTR told officials to prepare guidelines for distribution of 60,000 2BHK houses that have been completed.

These guidelines are to be formulated in coordination with the state housing department within a week. KTR said that there will be a meeting again next week.

“To formulate the guidelines, steps should be taken to ensure that beneficiaries are selected based on comprehensive family survey,” KTR said.
